Our Beliefs
(I) The Holy Scriptures
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and practice. God has preserved His Word for the English-speaking world in the 1611 King James Version of the Bible. The King James Version shall be the official and only translation used by the church. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; Psa. 12:6-7)
(II) Creation
We believe that God created the universe in six literal 24-hour days. Man was created directly in God's own image and was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species. All animal and plant life was made directly, and as God ordained, should bring forth only after their kind. (Gen. 1 & 2; Exo. 20:11)

(III) The Godhead
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; John 14:26)

(IV) The Person and Work of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of Mary, a virgin, and is true God and true man. The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the merit of Hs shed blood. The crucified body of our Lord was resurrected after three days and three nights. He ascended into Heaven after forty days and He is there today as our High Priest and Advocate. (Isa. 7: 14; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2; Rom. 3:24-25; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; 1 Pet. 1:18-21, Heb. 9:24)

(V) The Total Depravity of Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach the age of moral responsibility, are sinners in thought, word, and deed. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom, 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Eph. 2:1-3)

(VI) The Eternal Security and Assurance of Believers
We believe in the eternal security of the believer; that it is impossible for one born into the family of God ever to be lost. (John 10:27-30; Rom. 8:38-39; 1 Pet. 1:3-5)

(VII) The Church
We believe that the Church of our Lord is a visible, local, self-governing, baptized, body of believers free of any external authority or control. There are only two ordinances: baptism of believers, and the Lord's Supper, which is administered to obedient members of our church. (1 Cor. 12:12-14; Eph. 1:22-23; Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31, Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 1 Cor. 11:23-26)

(XIII) The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. The Holy Spirit indwells and gives spiritual gifts to every believer according to His will. The sign gifts of the Holy Spirit such as the gift of speaking in tongues and the gift of healing were temporary. (Rom. 8:9; Eph. 1:13-14; 1 Cor. 12:4-11; 13:8)

(IX) The Second Advent of Christ
We believe in that "blessed hope", the personal, imminent return of Christ who will rapture His Church prior to the seven-year tribulation period. Following the tribulation period He is coming to earth to rule and reign for 1,000 years as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (1 Thess. 4:13-18; Titus 2: 13; Rev. 3:10; 19:11-16; 20:1-6)

(X) Separation
We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and, that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations is commanded of God. (Rom. 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 6:14-7: l; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; 1 John 2:15-17; 2 John 9-11)

(XI) Marriage and Divorce
We believe that God instituted and honors marriage which is the union of one man and one woman in which they become one flesh. Any intimate sexual activity outside of marriage, i.e. fornication, adultury, and homosexuality, is forbidden by God. God hates divorce and intends marriage to last until one of the spouses dies. Divorce and remarriage is regarded as adultery except on the grounds of fornication. Although divorced and remarried persons or divorced persons may hold positions of service in the church, they may not be considered for the offices of pastor or deacon. (Gen. 2:24; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; 2 Cor. 6:9; 2 Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4; Mal. 2:14-17; Matt. 19:3-9: Rom. 7:1-3, 1 Tim. 3:2,13

(XII) Abortion
We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being.
Abortion is the unjustified, unexcused taking of human life. (Psa. 139:14-16; Isa. 44:24; 49:1, Jer.1:5, Luke 1:44)

(XIII) Missions
We believe that God has given the Church a Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. We must use all available means to go to the foreign nations as well as our local area and not wait for them to come to us. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16: 15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8, 2 Cor. 5:20)
